The Bags & Cases I Use for Organized Travel

After sharing my travel bags on Instagram stories last week, many of you requested a closer look at what they are and how I use them. It’s the most freeing feeling in the world to enter the airport knowing exactly where everything is, that I have what I need for the flight, and that I’m armed for any unexpected delays and hiccups. It took me several years to gather the perfect collection of cases and pouches, and I’ve never felt calmer when we travel. Below I’m sharing the bags I use and what I put in them, divided into carry-on and checked luggage.

In My Carry-On

Gray Lululemon Bag

My carry-on bag. Inside, I keep books, my wallet, and a ziplock bag for snacks (protein bars, high-fiber crackers, whole fruit, portion-sized nuts). I place my laptop and notebook in the inside sleeve, and my hydroflask, boarding pass, phone, and ID in dedicated exterior pouches for easy-access.

Calpak

Although not pictured above, I use my Calpack backpack instead of the Lululemon bag as my carry-on for shorter trips. It has a laptop sleeve and compartments for everything but is smaller.

Truffle Clarity Jetset Case

I primarily use this for liquids and cosmetics, like sample-size deodorant, lotion, and facewash, a charger, Caudalie lip moisturizer, and air pods. The see-through outer gives me (and TSA) an easy look inside.

Truffle Zipper Pouch

This flatter pouch is ideal for my Mason Pearson comb, pens, and receipts. At home, I carry this in my purse for easy access to chapstick, etc.

In My Checked Bag

Cuyana Travel Set

If you’ve been around the blog, you know I love Cuyana products. The quality is incredible and they last forever. I put my skincare items in the larger bag and use the small bag for miscellaneous items like my tan drops, toothpaste, and retainer.

Truffle Jewelry Case

This tiny case is such a quaint little addition to any travel set. It has a felt interior and a drawstring pouch to protect necklaces, rings, etc. Great for short trips with a limited amount of jewelry.

Adjustable Makeup Case

This makeup case is only $27 and the best I’ve ever owned! Removable dividers make it customizable, the material feels luxurious, and it has space for brushes, eye pallets, and more. This case is an affordable, must-have for travel you guys – I highly recommend this case!
