Outfit Details: Free People Blouse (under $60), MISA Skirt (similar on a budget here and here), Faithfull the Brand Bag, BP. Sandals (under $60)
This past weekend I was in Florida on the panhandle for a spring break getaway with friends. It’s about this time of year that I start to get an itch for a break from the routine. While I’d been to the Florida panhandle area for several trips in college, we spent most of our time in Panama City, only to miss Rosemary and Alys’ beach a short drive west on 30A. The area is picturesque, with white buildings, cobblestone streets, and bright accents. What I love most is how friendly and family-oriented everyone is here, not to mention the delicious restaurants, quality shopping, adorable coffee shops, and shaded bike paths.
Before everyone else arrived, I’d planned to step out for coffee at my favorite shop in Alys beach, Fonville Press. They have the best espresso and the cutest outdoor area. Sadly, they’re closed for renovations, but I was happy to get outside nonetheless. The warm Florida sun felt amazing, especially after being inside so much lately in North Carolina with all the rain.
The vitamin D did good for my skin and my soul as well as my wardrobe. I finally got to pull out some warmer weather pieces, like this MISA skirt and Free People blouse. I’ve been loving blouses with smocking and blouson sleeves lately. I think those details add a fullness that is feminine yet simple. I opted for a white blouse to give the beautiful pattern of the midi skirt the spotlight it deserves.
If I’m honest, I’m not much of an ultra-high heel lover. However, I do love a sandal that gives height to dress things up yet can be worn all day. With so much to explore, these affordable heeled sandals kept my feet both cute and comfortable. The muted peach in the skirt complimented the sandals perfectly, but these BP. heels can honestly be worn with just about anything as the color is a perfect blush nude.
What’s your favorite place to vacation this time of year? Have you ever been to any of the towns along 30A or the Florida panhandle? I’d love to hear in the comments or on Instagram!
