One thing on my to-do list is to get my colors done this year. So many of you have raved about its positive impact on your approach to getting dressed, and I’m curious! I’m on a waitlist for a color analysis. However, to be honest, I have a feeling I’m not going to play by the rules even once I know what season I am.
Lavender Love: The Spring/Summer Trend I’m Crushing On
I’ve grown to love experimenting with color over the past few years. Purple is one of the biggest trends for the spring/summer 2023 season. So, lavender and lilac clothes have been grabbing my attention the most lately.
I resurfaced this L’AGENCE linen dress for our recent trip to Cabo. It’s perfectly simple but has understated details that elevate it, from pockets to the adjustable straps, high-quality linen, and a subtle v-neck. This is a similar designer dress, and this is a similar dress under $100.
These Dolce Vita heels I paired with it are a new spring/summer favorite. They’re the perfect height for walking and have an on-trend square toe. I layered a Sezane belt. It’s sold out in raffia, but I found a similar belt under $100. It adds a little shape and finished off the look with more texture from one of my go-to warm weather bags.
I also picked up this lilac crinkle swimsuit from Hunza G for our trip. I love the comfort of Hunza G suits and appreciate that they don’t stretch out. Also, I always wear Bristols 6 Nippies underneath bandeau swimsuits without cups for extra coverage. It’s a bonus that they add a tiny bit of fullness for us small-chested ladies.
Below are a few more purple pieces I have my eye on for spring and summer! A few of note are this lilac wedding guest dress under $100 and this affordable lavender blazer to throw over your shoulders on a chilly spring evening. Also, this casual printed cotton midi dress (XIRENA is the master of lightweight dresses for hot days).
