This year I’ve been focused on adding more “third pieces” to my wardrobe, which are those layers—usually blazers and jackets—that finish off a whole look. I love the sophisticated touch a white blazer brings to shorts, and it’s practical, too——drape it over your bag for running errands then over your shoulders for an air-conditioned lunch. Here I have a dressed up vibe with a nice tank, tailored shorts, and heels, but you could wear cutoff denim shorts, a casual t-shirt, and sandals for a relaxed look.
