My beauty, hair, and skin routine never drastically change because, truth be told, I tend to stick to the products I’ve loved over time. It does slowly evolve, however, and I’m always interested in trying new things that friends and other bloggers recommend. I’ve shared about my haircare routine and my skin regimen, but I thought it’d be fun to highlight new beauty products I’ve been into. Keep reading to see the five beauty items I’m loving right now.
It’s amazing what a touch of color can do to improve the overall radiance of your skin. I’ve written about my favorite tan drops but haven’t spoken much about makeup products that help achieve a glow. A favorite I’ve been using this spring is the Marc Jacobs bronzer. While it appears dark in the pan, the shade is perfect on, especially for those with fair to medium skin who won’t have a natural color until mid-summer.
I’ve been giving my hair extra attention ever since going back to my natural color, and one of the best ways to nourish it is going longer between washes. This dry texturizing spray by Oribe works like a dry shampoo while also adding texture and volume. I have it in both the large size for home and travel size for trips. The best part about this spray is that it can be easily brushed out and doesn’t leave a sticky residue!
Jo Malone is my go-to for perfumes, and their Mimosa & Cardamom is always on my vanity. In the spirit of trying something new, I picked up this Gucci fragrance and have been loving it so far. It’s a delightful combination of tuberose and jasmine that basically smells like spring in a bottle. Try it for yourself and you’ll see!
I’ve had my ear tuned in to the jade roller talk for several years now. Only recently did I pull the trigger after experiencing some soreness in various parts of my face. While I’m not confident about the promises that this is a holy grail product for facial inflammation, I do benefit from the relaxation and self-care component. I like to put mine in the freezer for 10-15 minutes before using so that the facial massage is extra relaxing.
I’ve shared my favorite nude lip gloss before, but I’m all about layering when it comes to lips. This lipstick is an old favorite I reincorporated into my makeup routine recently. I found out about this shade from Carrie Underwood’s makeup artist, and as a fellow lover of the dark eye and nude lip combination, I had to give it a go. I like to put this on top of my Caudalie lip conditioner. As my skin develops more of a natural tan in late spring and early summer, this color will be even more flattering with a soft smoky eye!
