Closing Out 2020 in Style

Every day I see the same Instagram poll: loungewear (because #2020) vs. getting dressed up. I have a hard time deciding because I’m happy as a clam working from home in leggings and a cozy hoodie.

But during the last few weeks of the year, I love getting all dressed to go somewhere. This holiday season looks different, and it’s easy to feel like something’s missing—but getting out of your sweatpants and into a cute outfit is one way to bring that festive feeling right back.

Christmas and New Year’s Eve offer the perfect excuse to get dressed up, even if just to celebrate at home. In a normal year, we might spend the next few weeks at parties with friends, attending celebrations, and going to our favorite restaurants and shows. I plan to stash away my lounge clothes and sport a festive outfit, like this, this, or this, once or twice before the year comes to a close.

I picked up this jumpsuit from Nordstrom, which I’m so excited about because it can be worn in both winter and fall. This would look adorable worn with velvet loafers at home, or you can dress it up for out and about with a coat like I did here.

Nordstrom is one of my go-to shopping destinations for festive outfits, as they make it easy to discover amazing pieces with their filters, search, and curated holiday clothing pages. And with their shipping options, there’s a chance you could order today and get something you love by Christmas Day or New Year’s Eve.

From sequin styles to laid back dresses, here are a few pieces to bring a celebratory mood to your at-home festivities over the next few weeks!

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.
