The High/Low: Off-Duty Fall Style

It’s finally November! Can you believe it? It feels like we’re headed toward the holidays at 100mph, and I’ll be sharing festive outfits and party picks soon. But first, I wanted to share a practical roundup of off-duty, casual fall styles you can bundle up in for both the regular day to day commitments (carpool, coffee runs, errands) and all the “extra” to dos that crop up this time of year (gift shopping, tree lightings, etc.).

Many of these pieces I personally own and love, so I’ll share notes and fit details for those below. You can shop every piece by clicking the corresponding text link or product in the widget below. Happy cozy casual season!

From top left to bottom right:

The Varley Jones Coat shown in brown above is one of my favorite pieces of casual outerwear I have ever purchased (and one of my most asked about). I hesitated last season after seeing it on several fellow fashion creators as it is pricey, but this coat is well worth the cost per wear if you’re looking for something cute and functional for walking the dog, running errands, or grabbing coffee. It keeps me warm well down into the 40s. Be sure to size down! I wear XS.

The Cream Half Zip is another favorite of mine by Varley for looking chic when you’re running out the door. The exaggerated collar and gold hardware take it a notch above your everyday sweatshirt. The demand for custom sweatshirts is high lately. I love that the collar can zip all the way into a funnel neck or drape for a shawl effect. I wear S.

These white sneakers have been one of my favorite athletic styles for as long as I can remember! They’re designed for running, but I prefer them for walks and casual style. They have a springy footbed that makes them comfortable for all-day wear, and I think the shape is flattering. I wear my true size.

Nike recently sent me this coordinating ball cap and tote, which I’ve been loving for errands and flights. The tote is sadly no longer available, but this is a great beige tote under $100 if you’re looking for a roomy gym, errands, or travel bag.

Then, I got some earrings from our local jewelers to add a bit of feminine touch. The AirPods are there for my errands and you can get it from Amazon or the mall.
