The big Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here! As a huge Nordstrom fan, this sale is something I Iook forward to all summer. The deals are incredible and it’s so much fun to shop new fall arrivals at sale prices. Since it’s officially sale time, I thought I’d share what to expect, tips for shopping, and initial picks from the preview.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 is July 6 to July 31. An online preview starts June 29. Nordstrom Cardholders get early access to shop. Everyone can begin shopping with or without a Nordstrom card on July 15.
What Makes the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Special?
Unlike most sales that happen at the end of a season, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a preseason sale. You get to shop new fall and winter clothes—coats, sweaters, jeans, and more—before the season begins! It’s my favorite time to stock up on all things fall, but they always have a good mix of ready-to-wear summer pieces too. Items are typically marked down 30-40%.
Brands on sale this year include Nike, Zella, Free People, Charlotte Tilbury, Topshop, Olaplex, Spanx, Vince, Steve Madden, Ugg, Barefoot Dreams, AllSaints, La Mer, Reiss, Tory Burch, Dyson, and many more.
Anniversary Sale Shopping Tips
It’s easy to get overwhelmed at this sale, so there’s definitely a strategy for making the most of it. I’m sharing a few tips for shopping it below. The best place to start is with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 preview, which started on June 29. The preview used to be a print catalog but is now completely digital. You to see what’s available, styling ideas, and add favorites to a customized wish list.
Apply for a Nordstrom Card
This is key. Cardmembers are the only customers who can shop during the pre-sale that happens from July 6–July 14, 2022. Register for a Nordstrom card here. The cardholder levels are Icons, Ambassadors, and Influencers, and your level is determined by your annual spending. See the pre-sale Early Access shopping dates by level below.

Create a Wish List
During the preview, you can make a wish list of the items you want with your sizes. The wish list can be made on Nordstrom’s website or in their app. This is the easiest way to quickly shop once you’re able to. As a bonus, if anything you wanted is sold out, they’ll notify you when it’s back in stock.
Shop Online
The Nordstrom site and app always have a way better selection than the stores, and there’s no promo code needed. When I’m creating my wishlist, I like to narrow find my favorites by filtering by price, category, color, or brand. I always start with fall clothing and shoes since those tend to sell out first, and then I move to categories like home, beauty, and activewear. Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2022 Dates
Here’s a refresher on when the 2022 sale starts and ends. The online preview began June 29. Everyone can shop the sale beginning July 15 at 12:01am ET. If you’re a cardholder, you can shop during the early access period from July 6–14. The sale ends on July 31 at 11:59pm PT. Prices go back up on August 1.
