womens-shirtdresses

One of my favorite fall outfit options is a shirt dress. As much as I love fall fashion for layers, I love a simple outfit even more, and this one is as easy as it comes. A fall shirt dress and a great pair of shoes is a look you can just do about anything in—run errands, grab lunch or coffee, visit a winery, wear on a date night, or host a fall gathering.

That’s why I wanted to share 10 fall shirt dress options with you today!

When it comes to simple, throw-on fall dresses like these, you can never have too many. Whether you like black, beige, olive, short sleeve, or long sleeve shirt dresses, these 10 dresses are all perfect for autumn and will be your best friends when it comes to getting ready quickly this fall.

ATM High Torsion Dress

My tried and true favorite brand for high-quality cotton classics. The material ATM dresses are made with is insanely comfortable, holds up well over time, and doesn’t cling to your skin. The cut of this dress is absolutely divine, and it has pockets as a bonus! Dress it down with sneakers or up with heels like I did. Trust me, you will not regret this one.

Staud Vincent Dress

I “hearted” this dress in my Shopbop account ages ago, and it’s still there, just whispering, “try me, I’m a good one.” I’ve seen this beauty on several other influencers and it has such a chic, relaxed look to it. It comes in a ton of colors, including plaid, black, and rust that are perfect for fall. Wear it with slides now and knee-high boots later.

J.Crew Shirtdress

Shirtdresses are a signature item at J.Crew, especially if you lean toward a polished, preppy look. The Camp shirtdress is my favorite this year, but I fell in love with this satin-crepe option that’s a little dressier. For the adventurous, there’s this bold leopard dress.

Mango Shirtdress

Mango’s fall collections are always some of my favorites, and the shirtdresses are no exception. If you’re looking for a long sleeve, affordable fall dress, most of them are under $100 and come in more than one color. I just got this one in black.

Jonathan Simkhai Sara Dress

Jonathan Simkhai has been one of the top brands on my radar this year, but the price tags hurt. Thankfully they released Jonathan Skimkhai Standard, which is a budget-friendly(er) line with similar styles and luxurious fabrics that the brand is known for, like this under $200 maxi shirt dress. I’d go with black for fall.

Bella Dahl Utility Dress

This utility shirtdress is both a fun take on the classic utility jacket and the perfect transitional piece for those of you who live in places where it’s warm through October or so. It also comes in a romper version, for anyone in the Deep South who can bare their legs all year long!

Nordstrom Signature Shirtdress

I’ve been on a Nordstrom Signature kick this year (as seen here)—it’s Nordstrom’s in-house ‘luxury’ brand, and the quality has blown me away. They have several shirtdresses out now, including this option that’s perfect for work to play and this fun high-low hem dress in animal print.

Vince Crepe Dress

I’m going to go ahead and warn you that the price on this dress is painful, but I couldn’t not include it because it’s just that good. I love the elevated take on the everyday shirt dress, and I’ll definitely be setting a sale alert on this one. I found two similar on sale here and here, in case you can’t wait.

Alex Mill Golden Dress

This new-to-me brand has some really great pieces from time to time, and this utility-style shirtdress is one of them. The golden olive is great for fall and I love the oversized sash! Alex Mill tends to sell out quickly, so move fast if you love it.

L’Agence Cameron Dress

There’s a reason L’Agence keeps bringing back its Cameron dress every year in different colors. It really is a true classic that checks all the boxes in terms of fit (tie waist), movement (side slit), and versatility (wear alone or over denim). I love the olive green for fall.
