Naghedi woven bags originally caught my eye as I was planning for a beach getaway last year. I first bought their St. Barth’s large tote bag to use as a travel and beach bag, and it quickly became one of my favorites to reach for throughout spring and summer. The brand is everywhere right now and continues to rise in popularity, so I wanted to share my honest thoughts in a Naghedi bag review, including a comparison and pictures of the small, medium, and large sizes on my frame.
About Naghedi NYC
Sara Naghedi launched Naghedi NYC as her namesake label and an accessible counter to her luxury handbag brand, Deux Lux. Both brands have timeless designs and emphasize ethical and sustainable practices. Naghedi signature bags are handwoven from neoprene, making them waterproof, stain resistant, flexible, and lightweight.
Naghedi Bag Review
Although Naghedi bags are pricey, what you pay honestly feels right on par with what you get.
They work well for a variety of lifestyles and are seasonless, depending on the color you choose. I’ve used mine as day bags, work bags, carry-ons, beach/pool bags, and grocery bags, and my friends with children have used them as diaper bags. Not to mention, the weave is beautiful, so they can be worn with casual and semi-dressy looks.
One of my biggest concerns was the size of the top handles, but the neoprene allows just enough stretch when the bags are filled so that they fit comfortably on the shoulder or forearm. The material bounces back good as new once they’re emptied, and I’ve laid mine flat in suitcases and tucked them under airplane seats without damage or loss of shape.
I go into more detail about each size below, but all have a Mary Poppins effect in that they carry much more than you’d expect! The medium St. Barth’s is my daily tote and holds all my work essentials including a sweater or light layer, lunch, a water bottle, my laptop, notebooks, and more.

Naghedi Bag Sizes: Which Should You Get?
My first Naghedi woven tote bag was the Large St. Barths tote in ecru, but I added the medium size in cocoa and the mini size in ecru soon after. Naghedi has a few more styles, like the Jet Setter, Nomad Hobo, and the new St. Barth’s Petit tote, but I’ve never seen them in person.
Here are the dimensions of the bags in the St. Barths line:
- Petit: 6″ height x 9″ width x 5″ depth (not pictured)
- Mini: 7.5″ height x 14″ width x 6″ depth
- Medium: 9.5″ height x 17″ width x 7″ depth
- Large: 12.5″ height x 22″ width x 8″ depth
- Shopper Tote: 15.5″ height x 14″ width x 7″ depth (not pictured)
All St. Barths bags come with a removable zippered pouch and feature the neoprene weave material.
Naghedi St. Barths Large Tote
The large is my go-to for beach, pool, and travel, but it’s bigger than I need for everyday use.
I can fit everything I need for a beach/pool or travel day. When I use it on vacation, it fits a towel, cover-up, sandals, water bottle, lunch or snacks, and multiple zippered pouches for things like sunscreen, makeup, and accessories (sunglasses, wallet, mini hair brush, etc.).
Naghedi St. Barths Medium Tote
I carry all my Naghedi bags fairly often, but the medium is definitely my most worn! It’s the perfect size for my daily essentials and doesn’t overwhelm my frame (I’m 5’9″).
During the week when I use it for work, it easily fits my water bottle, laptop in a laptop case, 2-3 medium-size notebooks, phone, tech case (with AirPods, chargers, pens, etc.), keys, wallet, and snacks.
Naghedi St. Barths Mini Tote
The mini is my choice for weekends when I’m not toting things for work or when I want a hands-free option (it comes with a removable crossbody strap). It fits a wallet, phone, small water bottle, small makeup bag, sunglasses, mini hair brush, and keys.
It comes with a small dust bag and a mini zip pouch. While the medium and large totes can be worn as shoulder bags, the mini works best as a top handle or crossbody bag.
