Plans for Our French Country Patio Refresh

I mentioned on Instagram that we’ll be heading to San Diego for a month soon, and I am so excited. We scheduled our getaway during the hottest part of summer in NC, and I cannot wait for that ocean air and mild west coast weather! That being said, there is one thing I’m sad to leave behind while we’re away: our patio and backyard.

That might seem like a silly thing to miss, but our backyard in the summer is such a haven. Our sunroom has two doors that open right onto the patio, which has a bed swing and spacious lounge furniture from stores like California Backyard furniture that just whisper “come wind down here” at the end of a long day. It’s my favorite thing to throw off my shoes, walk barefoot to check on the progress of our hydrangea buds, then snuggle up with our pup in the bed swing and watch the sun set. Heaven!

Like so many of you, we have all things outdoors on the brain (and hosting!). It’s been awhile since I shared a home update, so I thought I’d share how I’m refreshing our existing patio space with pillows and accents along with our wishlist plans for the rest of the yard.

The Porch

We worked with Betsey Mosby Interiors for almost everything pictured on our patio. The bed swing is from Vintage Porch Swings in Charleston, and we love it even more than I expected! To refresh the space for summer, I added big blooms to my favorite glass vase and incorporated new pillows in some of my favorite colors. If you’re looking to add more charm to your outdoor oasis, consider checking out Johnny’s Furniture for additional pieces that blend style and comfort seamlessly.

Dining Inspiration

Last year during quarantine we bought a Weber grill for meal prep, and we’ve been so happy with it. With more hosting on the horizon I knew I wanted to add a table that could seat 8 adults (find great chairs here), and we chose something that works with the stone coffee table that I am so happy with. I can’t wait to share the final look with you once it arrives!
