This has been a summer of travel! We spent the better part of July in Whitefish, MT and Charleston, SC, and while it was a blast, there’s truly no place like home. We head back out west mid August, so I’m doing everything I can to find some semblance of routine over the next two weeks. There’s a feeling of familiarity in visiting a favorite coffee shop, walking the neighborhood route, and relaxing at home.
The only downside of being back in Raleigh is that it’s peak season for heat and humidity. To combat it, all my easy separates have taken over, like this skirt outfit for summer I wore last week.
Summer Skirt Outfit Idea
This floral print blouse was one of those love at first sight pieces for me. The print, the halter neck, the ruffles—everything about it. I paired it with this paneled skirt. Normally, I wouldn’t reach for a midi skirt in summer, but the crisp cotton blend is so breathable that it beat even the Charleston heat.
Both pieces are on sale and by two of my favorite brands for quality, Vince and Veronica beard, so it’s the perfect time to snag them for what’s left of summer and then style them into early fall. I’m seeing the a-line skirt with boots and an autumnal top or feminine long sleeve blouse and a blazer!

A pretty summer skirt outfit is forever and, if we’re honest, the summer heat isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. So, I wanted to share a roundup of summer mini, midi, and maxi skirts I’m loving (like this gorgeous maroon slip skirt under $100 that’s perfect for a return to the office, this steal of a crochet skirt, this conservative mini skirt to wear casually with tank tops, and this designer maxi on major sale). See below for my take on the best summer skirts of the season!
