Things to Find Comfort in at Home

Oversized t-shirts and sweats will always be a part of my closet (I carried this habit over to adult life from college, and there’s no denying that it’s easy and comfortable), but now that I’m finding myself in loungewear more often than not, I’ve been interested in pieces that are a little more put together but still have a feel good factor—something we can all appreciate at the moment.

Not to mention, on days when it feels like there’s nothing but bad news, cozy clothing provides a sense of comfort. I also find that they lend themselves to soothing routines that ease lingering anxiety, like making a cup of tea, curling up under a blanket, or slipping into a robe at the end of a long day.

Today I’m sharing my spring and summer favorites for doing just that in hopes that the right loungewear set, spa slippers, blanket, or tea kettle will cheer you up and give something to look forward if your days are beginning to run together.

This linen PJ set from Serena & Lily is perfect for lounging at home. I love linen for its ability to keep you cool when it’s hot and warm when it’s cold. This set comes in four fun colors. Pair with slippers for a spa feel at home.

This summertime pajama set is only $49, comes in three muted colors, and has a scoop neck and ruffle detailing for a feminine take on laid back clothing. I like the olive color for spring, but the grey and blush are pretty too.

I recently discovered Hanro and have fallen in love with their simple take on loungewear. Wake up, make coffee, and check on the garden (in the backyard of course) in this slip dress or throw on a waffle robe to grab the mail.

This top is by another loungewear brand I discovered recently, About. I love the green floral pattern and how affordable it is (under $100). I’d pair with these linen-blend trousers for a cozy rainy day at home.

I hope you guys are hanging in there at home and that the weather’s been gracious to you (as it has to us) to help your mood. We’re as eager as anyone for things to return to normal, but I’m equally as focused on making sure the timing is right for the health and safety of the community. Stay well! xo
